Think Like A Man…

I saw it tonight and it was surprisingly really good.

The movie wasn’t much of an eye opener for me when it comes to interacting with men.

I feel like for the most part my standards have always been high and I’ve always carried myself in a manner that makes men respect me.

One thing I did identify with in the movie was Taraji’s character…the successful independent black woman who is lonely.

I feel like I could become her someday.

Even though I’m in a relationship I’m very much so independent.

Overall the movie was hilarious and I think everyone should really go see it.

It will leave women with hope and men thinking about their ways.

Fuck Studying…

I need a break.

Anyone have any suggestions for a really good indie movie or a socially conscious flick?

What the hell…

was the play in a “Walk to Remember” about?

Why did it make sense then but not now?

Its so funny how when you watch movies when you’re younger they seem to make sense then when you watch them years later you’re like “What in the fuck?”

Why…

is there always one black person in a movie with an all white cast?

And why are they always straight cooning, the clown, the bitch, the dick etc.?

I’m laughing…

at all these comments about me being black and not watching these movies.

Whatever.

Since its summer I’ll make a plan to watch at least those two…I don’t care to see next Friday.

Corrupting my friend…

with 500 Days of Summer.

She’s never seen it…she’s about to fall in love.

So…

we’re going to the movies.

When he brought it up again he sounded like he wanted to flake by asking me if I wanted to go. Then he said he didn’t want to go anymore and I was like that’s fine. Then he asked me if I wanted to go again and usually when he does that it sounds like I really don’t go anymore but if you want to I’ll go…which makes no sense.

I didn’t care honestly but eventually he decided to go somewhere not in DC just to see this movie so I guess its a go.

If he changes his mind when he comes from the gym though I might be pissed only because I got dressed and thought we were going.
